Russell only got married when he was 38 (now 47) and then waited for a year or so before having a child. He is now living in Randburg with his wife Gillian and daughter Courtney (6 and a half years). They don't plan to have any more children.
Russell is the Production Manager (Software Development) for Auto-Mate, a company providing an ERP solution for the Automotive industry. They are partly owned by Dimension Data and have recently moved into their new campus in Bryanston. Gill is the creative director for Time Square - an advertising agency working with the pharmaceutical industry and based in Bryanston.
Russell's latest craze is spinning (at the Randburg Virgin Active gym) and cycling, and he has entered the 94.7 and the Argus cycle races.
