Ross Hutton

Ross Hutton Ross Hutton Alexander Hutton Ross Hutton Ross, Terri-Lee, and Alexander Hutton

After a somewhat misguided foray into the mysteries of engineering and a period as the editor of Wits Student, Ross completed his BA LLB at Wits University. He joined the Johannesburg Bar in 1988 and has practised as an advocate since then. He is mainly involved in commercial litigation, which may surprise those who recall his earlier Marxist leanings. He recently sat at the Labour Court as an acting judge.

In 1987, Ross married Jo-Anne Richards, who went on to become a best-selling author. They have two children, Emma and Joshua. They were divorced in 2001.

In October 2002, Ross married Terri-Lee Dix, who is also an advocate.

Ross regularly braves Johannesburg's roads on his bicycle and has completed eight Argus cycle tours. He climbed Kilimanjaro during an episode of masochism in 2001.
